Majestic Bike Works did not begin in a corporate boardroom, with a team of investors, or as an idea created simply to enter the growing electric bicycle market. It began with an old bicycle, a lifetime of experience, and a belief that some of the best things from the past should not be forgotten, they should be rebuilt, reimagined, and given a new life.

Eduardo Amoedo, founder and CEO of Majestic Bike Works, is a Cuban-born immigrant, engineer, and 30-year veteran of the United States Army. During his military career, he served through five-armed conflicts and developed an extensive background in Army aviation and engineering. For three decades, Eduardo worked in an environment where details mattered, equipment had to perform, and reliability was never optional. His years around aircraft, complex mechanical systems, engineering challenges, and military operations developed a deep appreciation for precision, durability, problem-solving, and purposeful design. Those experiences would eventually become part of the foundation of Majestic Bike Works.

About 20 years ago, Eduardo came across an old 1930s Hawthorne bicycle at a garage sale. There was something about it that immediately caught his attention. The bicycle came from another era when bicycles were built with distinctive lines, steel frames, mechanical simplicity, and a sense of character that is difficult to find in many modern products. It was old, worn, and needed work, but Eduardo saw something worth saving. He bought the bicycle for $20 and brought it home.

For nearly two decades, the old Hawthorne sat largely untouched. Life moved forward through a demanding Army career, family responsibilities, work, and countless other priorities, while the bicycle remained in the background, waiting for the right moment. Eventually, that moment arrived, and Eduardo decided it was finally time to bring the old bicycle back to life.

At first, the idea was simply to restore a piece of American cycling history. But as an engineer and lifelong problem-solver, Eduardo began looking at the bicycle differently. He started asking himself a simple question: What if this bicycle did not have to remain only a piece of the past? What if the character, craftsmanship, and beauty of a classic bicycle could be preserved while incorporating the convenience, performance, and technology of a modern electric bike?

That question changed everything.

Eduardo began transforming the old bicycle. The goal was never to erase its history or make it look like every other modern e-bike. The goal was exactly the opposite. He wanted to preserve what made vintage bicycles special, the proportions, the steel construction, the mechanical character, and the unmistakable presence—while introducing modern electric technology in a way that complemented the original design.

The finished bicycle became more than a restoration. It was a reinvention. It combined the soul and character of a vintage bicycle with the freedom and practicality of modern electric power. When friends and family saw the completed bike, the reaction was immediate. People stopped and looked. They asked questions. They wanted to know where it came from and where they could get one. Then came the question Eduardo had not originally expected: “Could you build these for other people?”

What began as one man's personal restoration project suddenly looked like something much bigger. Eduardo realized that many riders wanted an electric bicycle, but they did not necessarily want an electric bicycle that looked like every other e-bike on the market. They wanted something with personality, craftsmanship, character, and a story. They wanted something they could be proud to own.

That bicycle became the spark that created Majestic Bike Works.

Founded in Miami, Florida, Majestic Bike Works was created around a simple philosophy: Build it with purpose. Build it with quality. Build it to last. The company's designs draw inspiration from the elegance of vintage bicycles and the craftsmanship of an earlier era while incorporating modern electric performance and technology.

That philosophy can be seen throughout the Majestic approach, from 4130 chromoly steel construction and carefully selected premium components to hydraulic disc brakes, integrated lighting, modern LCD displays, electric pedal assistance, distinctive finishes, and thoughtful details. The original bicycle started Majestic Bike Works, but it would not be the last idea. As the company began taking shape, Eduardo's daughter and Chief Operating Officer of Majestic Bike Works brought him another real-world problem that needed a better solution. As a mother of two young girls, a simple family trip to the beach often meant carrying an enormous amount of gear—chairs, coolers, umbrellas, towels, toys, bags, and everything else needed for a day by the water.

Traditional beach carts helped, but they created problems of their own. They could be bulky and cumbersome, and once fully loaded, they became heavy and difficult to pull. In the deep, soft sand of Miami beaches, even a short walk from the parking area to the water could become exhausting. She asked Eduardo a simple question: “Could you build an electric beach cart?”

For Eduardo, it was exactly the kind of challenge that had shaped his entire career: identify the problem, understand why existing solutions fall short, and engineer something better. The same creative and engineering mindset that transformed an old 1930s bicycle into the first Majestic electric bike was now being applied to an entirely different mobility challenge.

That question became the beginning of the Majestic all-electric rugged beach cart, a product inspired by a genuine need and a real family experience. The beach cart did not create Majestic Bike Works—the bicycle came first—but the beach cart demonstrated that the Majestic philosophy could become something much bigger.

Today, Majestic Bike Works is developing into a broader electric mobility and lifestyle brand. The company's roots will always remain connected to that old Hawthorne bicycle and the idea of preserving timeless design while embracing modern technology. But the larger vision is about solving everyday mobility challenges with products that are beautiful, functional, distinctive, and thoughtfully engineered.
